Braithwaite Excavations own and operate low loader tractor units and trailers which allows us to transport all of our plant to all of our sites anywhere in the country and to undertake heavy plant haulage for other contractors.
The smallest items of plant weigh around 18 tonnes with the heaviest being the large crusher which weighs 53 tonnes. All plant moves are submitted using the ESDAL system by our Plant Manager where approved plant routeing is returned and passed on to the low loader drivers.
We own and operate our own fleet of MAN tipper wagons which generally work out of our base in Barnsley and service local jobs for aggregates and spoil off site.
We also own two inert restoration sites in West Yorkshire where all the inert spoil taken from our local sites is deposited.
We can also offer disposal services for other contractors on a cart and tip basis if the materials are proven to be suitable for our restoration sites. We have trained Managers and WAMITAB personnel that ensure compliance for our sites which are fully permitted by the Environment Agency for the importation of materials and the management of the sites in general.
